COACH JAMIE WOOD

Coach Jamie Wood is highly experienced coaching professional with a background that spans all levels of the game. In addition to coaching, he is also an Educational Advisor and helps young people achieve their dreams and plan for the future. He grew up in Miramichi, New Brunswick, as the oldest of five, and went on to play College Hockey at Middlebury College Hockey in Vermont. While at Middlebury, he majored in education and was captain of the hockey team. He holds a Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick and has won 2 National Championships as the Head Coach of the Elmira College Soaring Eagles in Elmira, New York. He has been involved in the start up of two sports schools, Warner Hockey School in Alberta and the Maritime Hockey Academy in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has also coached at the University of Minnesota and the University of New Hampshire. In addition he is a certified Power Edge Pro Skill Instructor and has an extensive background in player development, helping players move through the entire journey of minor hockey and on to the NHL, NCAA, CHL, and Olympics. Coach Wood is an innovative, caring, knowledgeable and determined leader who empowers athletes and enjoys helping them achieve their goals.
